If you wish to enrol your child as a student at Coláiste Éamann Rís; please contact the main office for an application form.
Our Open Night for prospective students is held on the second Tuesday of September every year.
For our enrolment policy please visit http://www.cercork.ie/index.php/policies/
Please note: In recent years there has been an increase in applications for places at Coláiste Éamann Rís. As demand now outweighs the number of places available we recommend putting your child’s name on our enrolment lists as soon as possible.
Students who apply for first year are offered a place in the September of the year before they join us e.g. students enrolling for 2021/2022 are offered a place in September 2020.
Once a place has been accepted, and relevant paper work received, prospective students are invited to attend an Assessment Exam on a Saturday in February (this is not an Entrance Exam). Completing this Assessment Exam is the first step on your child’s journey to secondary school education – to mark this significant event we invite students and parents to a celebration in the hall immediately after the exam is completed.
In May, prospective students will also be invited on a team building day – we believe this type of day helps prepare each student from their transition from primary to secondary school.
The evening before the induction day, parents of incoming students are invited to an information session.
Throughout the year, our staff will also work with your child’s primary school teacher to form a picture of your child’s likes, dislikes, strengths and abilities.
